Vector Art (Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Flash & Inkscape)
I love how precise and clean vector illustrations are, it gives me such joy!
I've used many excellent vector drawing programs including CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, and old-school Flash, today I use Inkscape for most of my vector work.
"Graeme Frontbum nude" Inkscape vector Illustration
I drew this nude version of Graeme Frontbum with Inkscape. Inkscape is definitely the best free vector drawing program out there, it works a lot like the original CorelDraw which I loved!
I intentionally made his fingers and toes with scribbly lines because I love how this looks. I also spent a lot of time making the reflected purple light on the under-side of his body. Lots of blending work with this vector illustration.

"Eyebird" Surreal Vector Illustration
I was sketching a drawing of an eye and I noticed it looked a bit like a bird.
I refined the idea on paper then scanned it into the computer. I imported the pencil drawing into Adobe Illustrator as a background layer template, this helped guide me when creating the blended vector shapes on top.
I played around with the colours for quite a while and ended up with a yellow eye because it was more bird-like.
I'm slowly learning Illustrator - it's so different to Corel Draw (which I've used for many years) but some things (like layers) are similar to Photoshop which I absolutely love.
I'm really happy with the end result.
"Elfin girl" Watercolor illustration with vector line work
This is a watercolor illustration with two layers; the black lines were done afterwards in CorelDraw, that's why they look so smooth and perfect. I like the effect when you combine digital and analogue painting methods.

"Crystal Glow" Color Vector Illustration
This is one of my smallest Flash pictures ever! Only 3k =) It's a picture of Crystal that I used for the front page of my website a number of versions ago.
"Winged skeleton" Flash Vector Illustration
I used this Flash picture on the front page of a previous version of this website. It's based on the following pencil drawing:
"Holden Astra" Interactive Flash Illustration
Originally this was an interactive flash illustration where you could hover over different options and the car changed color.
Flash was amazing because you could keep the file size down to almost nothing and still do amazing things!
"Mazda mx5" Vector Illustration
I drew this Mazda MX5 originally for a project for Strathfield Car Radios, but it was never used.
"Crystal the doll" Vector Portrait Illustration
Crystal the Doll is one of my favourite characters.
"Björk Venus" Vector Illustration
I redrew the cover art from Björk's single Venus as a Boy so I could change the colour scheme to pink rather than turquoise. This drawing was originally used in Flash for an older version of my Björk website.
There was such a lot of detail, I drew every single stitch in her jumper!
"Angel Sky" Color vector illustration
In this vector illustration I attempted to make the girls hair flow in a circular pattern into the sun.

"Ogga the Cane Toad" Vector Illustrations
Ogga the Cane Toad is one of my cartoon characters. I drew these illustrations in pencil, scanned them in, and colored them in CorelDraw.
Read my Ogga comic strips, and learn more about Ogga the Cane Toad.
"Lyndal the Flower Girl" CorelDraw Portrait
This is Lyndal the flower girl - part human and part plant. Her hair turns into flowers!
I first drew this picture in pencil then inked it with black felt tip pen. Next I scanned it in black and white and turned it into a vector drawing with CorelTrace.
All the colors were added in CorelDraw.
"Astro Björk" Vector Illustration
This is AstroBjork; a cross between Astro Boy and Björk. The character was inspired from the Beautiful 3D rendering on her 'Army of Me' single cover that was created by Me Co.
"Crystal circle" Color Vector Illustration
This was my first portrait drawing of Crystal the Doll, it has something nice about it.
"Original Crystal" Vector Art Illustration
This was the original Crystal picture with her whole body. She is just a doll with sharp curved blades for hands... Ouch!
"Björk Big Time Sensuality" Vector Pop-Art Illustration
This artwork was inspired by Bjork's song 'Big time sensuality' and I drew it in the comic book style of the artist Roy Lichenstein.
